Tyr’s ever-growing corporate team has recruited experienced Yorkshire Corporate Partner Giles Clegg. Giles brings over 20 years of experience to support the team with Tyr’s expanding client-base.
Giles has a strong track record advising on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, group reorganisations and investments. Over the last decade he has acted for a number of private equity backed businesses on portfolio acquisitions and disposals.
Giles will join the corporate team headed by the highly regarded Partner Chris Blantern.
Developing more junior members of the team is important to Giles, the camaraderie of working on a deal contributes to the feeling of a strong team bond and builds trust.
Trust is also a vital element to retaining clients, Giles’ longest client relationship is decades long and going strong. Giles puts this down to really getting to know each other, rather than a one-way relationship, so he can provide the most effective and efficient advice as he understands the priorities of the client.
The drive to continuously look ahead at the next goal, challenge or relationship is a characteristic Giles has in common with Tyr; never resting on your laurels and having the ambition to keep going out to market and making new connections.
Encouraging the full team to have market presence is important to Giles, he is aware that the great work that Tyr do is not done by one individual but the whole team working towards a common goal with the client. The strength of the team is what attracted Giles to join Tyr.
